6 days 5 night tour SPLIT to DUBROVNIK

DAY 1:  SPLIT  to  MOSTAR  via  Pocitelj Castle (Saturday 04 September 2021)

After breakfast aboard the MS New Star we will disembark and head off on yet another great adventure this time to the city of Mostar in southern Bosnia Herzegovina

After experiencing different historical development over many centuries this area has remained the meeting place of cultures and religions with traces clearly visible today. We drive to Neum along the coast, then head inland through the picturesque Neretva River Delta stopping at the fortress town of  Počitelj a well preserved example of oriental architecture perched on a hillside above the river and then head to Mostar.

Where we will visit  the old city (that was  included on the 2005 UNESCO`s World Heritage List) and its graceful Old Bridge with a single span, colourful Bazaar and traditional handicrafts, Mosque and lots more.

DAY 2:  MOSTAR    to    BUDVA                 (Sunday 5 September 2021)

The old town is Budva’s trademark. It is raised on the island, which used to be connected with the land by a sandy covering and so it grew into a peninsula. The Old Budva’s town is a unique architectural and urban entity which is mentioned as a lodgment even in the antique period.

It’s believed that Budva is one of the oldest urban centers in the Adriatic more than 2.500 years old. Inside its walls, the centre consists of a maze of narrow streets, squares and several monuments.

DAY 3: BUDVA   to   KOTOR  via  Cetinje & Njeguši  (Monday 6 September 2021)

After breakfast our guide we will join for a very interesting tour of Budva.  Then depart for Kotor heading for Cetinje and Old Royal Capital of Montenegro. It is also the historic and secondary capital of Montenegro, where the official residence of Montenegro President is located.

 Then we will also visit Njeguši – a village in the Cetinje Municipality of southern Montenegro, located on the slopes of Mount Lovćen, within the Lovćen national park before heading off for Kotor.

Kotor is a city surrounded by high mountains reflected in the blue waters, situated in a  fjord-shaped Bay. This is one of  the most spectacular landscapes on the Mediterranean. We will have plenty of time to check it out both today and tomorrow it’s remarkable and you will enjoy it.

DAY 4: KOTOR        (Tuesday 7 September 2021)

Kotor is a fortified town on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, in a bay near the limestone cliffs of Mt. Lovćen. Characterized by winding streets and squares, its medieval old town has several Romanesque churches, including Kotor Cathedral. Kotor, town has always been providing a safe harbour to navigators and its famous merchant navy.

It’s also home to the Maritime Museum, which explores local seafaring history. Sveti Đorđe, one of 2 tiny islands off the ancient town of Perast, features a centuries-old church.   Perast is an old town on the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. It is situated a few kilometres northwest of Kotor and is noted for its proximity to the islets of St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks

Drive along the bay past Risan and picturesque Perast, a home- town of many captains. Boat ride to the man-made islet of Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela). Upon returning home safely, seamen dropped rocks and old boats filled with rocks in this place and gradually created the islet as the foundation for the church.

DAY 5: KOTOR   to    DUBROVNIK   via  Cavtat  (Wednesday 8 September 2021)

  • Overnight – Dubrovnik Grand Hotel Park 4**** including Breakfast

After breakfast we head off for Dubrovnik  and on the way spend some free time in Cavtat, the beautiful eastern part of the Dubrovnik Riviera. The lovely town of Cavtat,  situated in a bay between 2 peninsulas and e of the oldest cities in this part of the Adriatic.

Few places offer such a harmony of lush Mediterranean growth, emerald sea and new architecture, whilst cherishing a rich cultural and historical tradition. Explore Cavtat by strolling  along the palm-lined promenade, enjoy coffee or drink and relax taking a moment for yourself.

Arrive in Dubrovnik and evening is at leisure to enjoy the many interesting sights in Dubrovnik such as  walk the walls and the Cable Car  with  amazing breathtaking views of the Old Town and Elaphiti Islands. The best views of Dubrovnik.

DAY 6: DUBROVNIK          (Thursday 9 September 2021)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.  Day at leisure till you depart for Dubrovnik Airport.
